Admission Guidelines
At NES, admission is the beginning of a long, meaningful partnership between the school and the family. The following guidelines ensure a smooth and transparent admission process.
General Guidelines
- Age Criteria: The student must meet the minimum age requirement for the class being applied for as on 1st June of the academic year.
- Previous Academic Records: Applicants seeking admission to Class I and above must submit their previous school records.
- Entrance Assessment: For Class II onwards, a brief assessment may be conducted to understand the child's current learning level.
- Parent Interaction: An informal interaction with the Principal and/or Admissions Committee is part of the process.
- Availability of Seats: Admissions are subject to availability of seats in the respective class.
- Non-refundable Registration Fee: A nominal registration fee applies and is non-refundable.

Admission Process
The admission process at NES Chitradurga is designed to be simple, transparent, and family-friendly.
Step 1: Enquiry & School Visit
Visit our campus or submit an online enquiry form. Our admissions coordinator will guide you through the school's philosophy, facilities, and curriculum.
Step 2: Collect & Submit the Application Form
Collect the admission form from the school office or download it online. Fill it out completely and submit it with the required documents and registration fee.
Step 3: Interaction / Assessment
- For Montessori and LKG: A casual play-based interaction with the child.
- For Class I and above: A brief age-appropriate assessment in English, Mathematics, and general awareness.
- A short meeting with parents to discuss the child's background and expectations.
Step 4: Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates will be notified within 5–7 working days. Parents must complete the fee payment and document submission within the stipulated time to confirm admission.
Step 5: Welcome to NES
Once admission is confirmed, the student receives the welcome kit, uniform details, book list, and orientation schedule.
Documents To Be Submitted
Please submit photocopies (with originals for verification) of the following documents along with the admission form:
Mandatory Documents
- Birth Certificate of the student (issued by the Municipality / Panchayat)
- Aadhaar Card of the student (if available)
- Passport-size photographs — 4 recent photos of the student
- Passport-size photographs of both parents — 2 each
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school (for Class I and above)
- Progress Report / Report Card of the last academic year
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Residential Proof (Aadhaar / Electricity Bill / Rental Agreement)
- Medical Records — blood group and immunisation details
- Income Certificate (only for fee concession or scholarship applicants)
For Transfer Students
- Migration Certificate (if coming from a different State Board)
- Study Certificate from the previous school
- Character / Conduct Certificate
Transfer Certificate
A Transfer Certificate (TC) is issued to students who are leaving NES Chitradurga to join another institution.
Application for Transfer Certificate
- Written Application: Submit a written application addressed to the Principal at least 15 days in advance, stating the reason for withdrawal and the last date of attendance.
- Clearance of Dues: All pending school fees, library dues, transport fees and other charges must be cleared.
- Return of School Property: ID card, library books, sports equipment and uniform items (if issued) must be returned.
- TC Fee: A nominal administrative fee is applicable for TC issuance.
- Processing Time: TCs are generally issued within 7 working days of application approval and clearance of dues.
Duplicate Transfer Certificate
If a duplicate TC is required, a written application along with an affidavit and applicable fee must be submitted. Duplicate TCs take 15 working days to process.
Important Notes
- The school reserves the right to issue a TC based on the conduct and academic record of the student.
- TC will not be issued if any dues are pending.
- For students leaving mid-session, written permission from the Principal is mandatory.

Parent Guidelines
Parents are the most important partners in a child's education. At NES, we value this partnership and request all parents to read and follow these guidelines to ensure the best learning experience for their child.
Communication
- Read all circulars, notices, and app notifications regularly.
- Reply to official messages promptly.
- For any concern, meet the class teacher first, then the coordinator, then the Principal.
- Appointments with the Principal must be scheduled through the office.
Attendance & Punctuality
- Minimum 80% attendance is mandatory for all students.
- Students must arrive at least 10 minutes before the first bell.
- Leave applications must be submitted in advance through the school diary / app.
- In case of illness, a medical certificate is required for absence of more than 3 days.
Uniform & Grooming
- Students must wear the prescribed school uniform every day.
- Sports uniform is mandatory on PE days.
- Hair must be neatly combed; boys — short hair; girls — plaited/tied hair.
- Nails must be trimmed; jewellery is not permitted (except religious items of minimal size).
Homework & Academic Support
- Monitor your child's diary daily.
- Create a distraction-free study space at home.
- Encourage reading beyond textbooks.
- Avoid completing homework on the child's behalf — let them learn.
Behaviour & Discipline
- Reinforce values of respect, honesty, and responsibility at home.
- Discourage use of mobile phones, social media, and unsupervised internet.
- Work with teachers, not against them, when behavioural issues arise.
Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
- PTMs are held every term. Attendance is strongly recommended.
- Come prepared with questions; stay constructive and solution-focused.
Financial Responsibilities
- Fees must be paid by the due date to avoid late charges.
- Fee payment can be made online, by DD, or at the school office.
On Campus
- Visitors must report to the reception and sign the visitor log.
- Parents are not permitted in classrooms during school hours without permission.
- Help us maintain cleanliness — no littering on campus.
